Capability Tiers

BEC deploys AGV and AMR systems across a wide range of payload classes and facility types: compact workstation linkers at one end, heavy forklift replacements at the other. Pick the tier that matches the transport job you actually have.

Large & Difficult Parts

KUKA KMP1500P. Custom trolley for 1.5+ ton loads. Narrow aisles.

Small Parts / SLC

Compact BMP200 AGVs for manual workstation linking. Tight spaces.

Heavy Loads (tons)

Heavy-duty platforms. Stäubli FL1500 forklift AGV. Crane replacement.

High Precision Navigation (HPN)

Enhanced positioning accuracy for demanding production tasks.

Stäubli FL1500 Forklift AGV

1.5-ton counterbalanced forklift. Stacks and retrieves pallets from racks.

Up and Running, Fast

BEC's deployment process is standardised to keep downtime to a minimum. Standard configurations are typically operational within hours of arriving on site.

01

Site Survey

BEC engineers survey your facility to map floor layouts, traffic routes, loading points, and how the AGV will need to talk to the equipment and software you already run.

02

Configuration

The AGV system is configured to your facility before it ships: route maps, station definitions, speed zones, safety areas and fleet logic are all set up off-site.

03

Software Integration

Fleet management software is connected to your WMS, ERP or production control system over VDA5050 or a custom interface. Communication with machines and conveyors is configured and tested.

04

Deploy in Hours

The pre-configured system is delivered and deployed on-site. Standard AGV deployments are operational within hours. BEC supervises commissioning and validates every route, station stop and safety function.

05

Live Monitoring

Once the fleet is live, you monitor it through a web-based dashboard showing vehicle location, battery status, job queue and performance metrics in real time. Remote support from BEC stays available.

Related Services

List and describe the key features of your solution or service.

Industrial Automation

Custom robot cells, gripper development, AI vision and factory automation, engineered to work alongside your AGV fleet.

Mobile Robots

KUKA KMR series: mobile manipulators that put a robot arm on an autonomous mobile base. Available in payload classes from 7 kg up to 300 kg.

MRP

The Mobile Robot Platform: a decoupled system that moves an industrial robot between docking stations. It combines AGV flexibility with stationary-robot precision at payloads up to 300 kg.

Fabmover

The FABMOVER, a cleanroom AMR built for semiconductor fabs. It automates pod and cassette transport and speaks SEMI E82 and E84.

Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some common questions about our company.

An AGV follows fixed, pre-defined routes using magnetic tracks, reflectors or wires set into the floor. An AMR uses onboard sensors and maps to navigate dynamically, working around obstacles in real time. AMRs are more flexible; AGVs are usually more cost-effective on fixed, high-throughput routes.

Standard AGV configurations can be running within hours of arriving on site, because they're pre-commissioned at BEC's facility. More involved deployments with full WMS/ERP integration and multi-vehicle coordination usually take a few weeks from kick-off to go-live.

VDA5050 is an open communication standard for AGV and AMR systems, developed by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) and the VDMA. It lets vehicles from different manufacturers be managed by a single fleet management system, which removes vendor lock-in.

Yes. Every BEC AGV and AMR deployment is set up for safe human-robot coexistence. Vehicles carry laser safety scanners, emergency stop systems and speed-reduction zones. Safety systems comply with the relevant standards, including ISO 3691-4.

Yes. BEC deploys heavy-load AGV platforms including the KUKA KMP1500P and the Stäubli FL1500 counterbalanced forklift AGV. If a job needs robotic processing at each station as well as transport, the MRP (Mobile Robot Platform) extends that capability further.
