How Exacure Works

Exacure manages the complete patient positioning workflow, from treatment planning data through to beam delivery and post-treatment verification, with robotic precision at every step.

Patient Planning

Treatment planning data is loaded into the Exacure control system. The planned patient position and beam angle are defined based on imaging data from CT or other imaging modalities integrated with the system.

Exacure Positions

The Exacure robot arm positions the patient with 6-axis precision to match the planned treatment position. The examove module handles robotic patient movement and the exacouch provides the slim anatomical patient support surface.

BNCT Beam Delivery

The exashield treatment module aligns with the neutron beam nozzle, controlled by exapoint. The patient is held in the treatment position with stationary robot accuracy throughout beam delivery. Exadock secures the couch coupling.

Real-time couch tracking

The exatrack module monitors patient and couch position in real time during treatment, detecting and compensating for any movement to maintain beam alignment throughout the session.

Post-Treatment Imaging

After treatment, the exaview module provides tumour position imaging for verification. The system logs all positioning data for clinical records. Gantry positioning is managed by the exaturn module where applicable.
